elearning feedback

I’ve been working on some interactive Flash exercises for my boy’s school. He is 6. The exercises are designed to help with the (chore of) weekly spellings. Username = saint, password = stephens. Audio reads the question - ‘can you spell…’ student types the answer, Flash file checks the answer and let’s the student try again or continue, and all the data is sent to the teacher as an email - sweet, I think.

1st day the project was rolled out, a child’s dad rang me and said. ‘I walked through the front door and James dragged me to the computer to show me how he was practising his spellings. Normally I can’t get him to write them out, but doing it like this, he loves it.’ Worthwhile.

It would be lovely to see your weekly spellings, but your link goes straight to a login. As you may know I write spelling activities in Hot Potatoes, and always like to see other people’s ideas in practice. Can you post the exercises in some other way?

Same here…got a login screen… wouldn’t mind having a look too. My stepdaughter is 9 and still not very confident with spelling so it would come in handy!

Oh boys - a lesson in text and reasons not to use it (or too much of it!). Chris and Tim, both intelligent homo sapiens, got the drift of my post but didn’t read the detail! There in post is what to do when you reach the login screen; username saint, password stephens.
