Standing up for teaching and learning

I’ve spent this evening trawling feeds and new blogs for a succinct argument to reply to my online services manager who nervous about social networking software beyond our online environment of Moodle.

The email exchange stemmed from a directive for the campus learning centre to delete it’s myspace account. I felt this was an excellent initiative on the part of the LC manager to explore social networking software and engage with students with their tools.

This new post on eLearning Technology is not directly on target for my purposes but useful as part of the wider debate.

And which Stephen Downes post should I choose? Heck!

For a fantastic overview of the social networking in schools question download this interview with Bill Richardson.
