Where I’ve been

In the year 1999 I got my first taste of learning and technology. I had worked as a freelance musician for many years, with 4 years as Music Director of the Rocky Horror Show. Then I got a teaching job in Manchester and I had a Mac laptop, which I would use in the class room with a data projector and music software like Cubase and Overture. So when our curriculum team needed an ‘ILT representative’ it had to be me. I was the nerdy one.

We had meetings and discussions - I was totally green but hooked on the concept. The college gave me a Dell laptop. Fortunately Sadly I was mugged and the laptop was probably converted into smack or something.

I was undaunted and set about experimenting with interactive Word documents. Shoosh! The bad old days. They worked OK, and I got the hang of some pedagogy and the joy of Snapz Pro - the amazing screen app for Mac.
